Another of our CCF babies now flying high and free with the angels!
It is with great heartache and sadness that we post today to tell you that another of our incredibly brave and beautiful CCF babies gained his angel wings at 11:30pm on Friday 18th November just days after his 3rd birthday.
Our gorgeous and courageous Harry Annable was born premature on 14th November 2013 with Polymicrogyria which along with many other health conditions meant he would need 24 hour care.
After recently becoming extremely poorly with a chest infection, Harry was taken to hospital and was then later transferred to the Donna Louise Hospice where his Mammy and Daddy felt was the best place for Harry in his final days.
Sadly, this is the true heartbreaking reality all of our precious CCF families are facing. The knowing that eventually their babies life limiting conditions will take hold on them to a point they can fight no more. This is why it is so vital for us to continue in supporting these families when they have nowhere else to turn. Those family memories they were able to create and the quality times spent together because of the financial support we provided are so very precious when memories are all they have left to hold on to and remember.
Regardless of the great challenges Harry’s condition brought, he also brought so much love, laughter and joy into the lives of all who knew him. He was the most amazing little boy and all at CCF feel so very honoured to have been able to give his family the much needed financial support when they were chosen as one of our CCF family’s. This allowed the family time to create many precious memories together that will now be treasured forever.
We send our deepest condolences with much love and thoughts to Harry’s Mammy Kerry, Daddy Richard and brothers Thomas and Charlie. We hope all the great memories you treasure bring you great comfort at such a heartbreaking time for you all.
We ask you all to join us in lighting a very special candle today in memory of the true little fighter Harry was and keep his family and loved ones in your prayers.
Fly high and free with the angels little man. You will forever hold a very special place in the hearts of all your CCF Family xxxxxxxxx
It is our pleasure to announce to you all our 28th CCF Family!

Quote from Harry’s Mammy;
“Not only do we have emotional stress because of Harry’s illnesses, we also have financial worries due to us losing our second salary. We would like to thank the Charlie Cookson Foundation for taking some of this worry from us”
The Charlie Cookson Foundation would like to thank all of our supporters, donors and volunteers who are helping us ‘do what no other charity does’ we look at the lifeline behind the children suffering the life limiting conditions…the parents, we do all we can to relieve them of their financial burdens to allow them to spend quality time with their child who will sadly not live a long life.
Please read and share this story, help us raise awareness of CCF and the difficulties these inspirational families face everyday.
Thank you all once again xxx
